Job Summary
As a Pharmacy Technician (Data Entry) at CareMetx, you will play a critical role in providing exemplary service to our clients, including product manufacturers, physicians, patients, and internal customers. You will be responsible for maintaining effective systems to support the timely release of accurate information, processing prescriptions, and providing pharmacist support as needed. Key Responsibilities
- Maintain effective systems to support the timely release of accurate information to diverse clients
- Process prescriptions, including logging information into the appropriate pharmacy database and triaging prescriptions to the appropriate dispensing pharmacy
- Provide pharmacist support related to prescription processing as needed
- Assist with inbound call volume as received
- Work closely with pharmacists and other pharmacy technicians to ensure seamless operations
- Run eligibility checks and test claims as needed for patient prescriptions
- Distribute prescriptions to appropriate reimbursement specialists and stakeholders
- Maintain and promote a positive and professional working relationship with associates and management
- Comply with all appropriate program policies and procedures
- Perform related duties as assigned
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- Previous 3+ years of professional work experience as a Pharmacy Technician
- A Pharmacy Technician license (National license preferred)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Understanding of pharmacy regulations for prescription processing
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Strong computer application skills
- Strong interpersonal skills, with a focus on teamwork and collaboration
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Adaptability and flexibility in new situations
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:
- Pharmacy Technician license in the state of Texas (if not currently licensed, ability to obtain licensure)
- Experience working in a remote or virtual environment
- Familiarity with pharmacy software and systems
- Certification as a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT)
