About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Financial Accounting and Data Integration Specialist to lead cross-functional collaboration and drive key initiatives in our Financial Accounting group. As a senior member of our team, you will have the opportunity to apply your expertise in financial accounting, data analysis, and technical skills to make a significant impact on our business. This role offers a unique blend of financial accounting and data engineering, providing a challenging and rewarding experience for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead cross-functional collaboration with various stakeholders, including Technical Accounting, Functional Accounting, Engineering, Product, Finance, Tax, Legal, and other business owners to drive key initiatives and improvements.
• Develop and design comprehensive accounting data requirements to facilitate the automation of journal entries, ensuring accuracy, completeness, compliance, and efficiency in financial processes.
• Drive process improvement initiatives to streamline revenue tasks and shorten the revenue close cycle.
• Monitor data quality of journal entries prepared via the Revenue Subledger and design Data Quality checks for identified use cases.
• Collaborate with the Product and Engineering teams to continuously improve our daily Revenue Reconciliation process and manage reconciliation investigations.
• Review new product designs and assess their impact on existing or new accounting requirements for the Revenue Subledger.
• Perform monthly revenue accounting close responsibilities, including GAAP revenue analysis, cost of revenue analysis, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Lead special projects and initiatives as assigned.

Requirements and Qualifications:

Essential Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in revenue accounting, data analysis, and business intelligence.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, ASC 606 Revenue Recognition, and IFRS.
• Intermediate to advanced SQL skills and ability to work with large volumes of transactional data.
• Proficiency in Python is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt to changing work environments.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage with all levels of management and cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Experience with financial planning and analysis, financial modeling, and data visualization.
• Familiarity with cloud-based financial systems and tools.
• Certifications in accounting or finance, such as CPA or CMA.
