Key Responsibilities

  • Complete data entry and balancing functions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in processing transactions.
  • Coordinate return items with members, vendors, the Federal Reserve Bank, and other institutions, resolving issues promptly and professionally.
  • Assist other departments with fraud resolution, member inquiries, and related Accounting standard ledger balancing, providing expert support and guidance.
  • Work member cases/issues assigned, utilizing strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail to resolve complex issues.
  • Follow and maintain guidelines and procedures to ensure strict compliance with NACHA regulations and guidelines and Federal Banking laws, upholding the highest standards of integrity and security.
  • Process loan payments, multi-account and member deposits, credit card payments, and other items, including IRA, bankruptcy, and payoff items, with precision and accuracy.
  • Review, examine, and approve Remote Deposit, Mobile, ATM, and other imaged-enabled products, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies.
  • Log, study, and make necessary GL, account changes, and/or returns, maintaining accurate records and ensuring seamless transaction processing.
  • Process Stop Pays and Check Batching, exercising strong analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Complete daily balancing and department closing, ensuring timely and accurate processing of transactions.
  • Obtain information from members for the timely and accurate processing of international and domestic fund transfer requests, providing exceptional customer service and support.
  • Research and confirm incoming and outgoing fund transfer information, verifying accuracy and completeness to prevent errors or discrepancies.
  • Communicate with the vendor to process fund transfers, ensuring smooth and efficient transaction processing.
  • Understand and be familiar with outgoing and incoming fund transfer laws, staying up-to-date with regulatory requirements and industry developments.
  • Deposit check returns, research member back checks on draft changes, process member checks, confirm members for outgoing fund transfers, and Federal Reserve verifying and releasing fund transfers, exercising strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Complete daily processing of workflows associated with overdue returns, delivery of receipts, foreign collections, and legal fees, ensuring timely and accurate processing of transactions.

Essential and Preferred Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school degree or GED, providing a solid foundation for further development and growth.
  • Intermediate Excel and Word experience, demonstrating proficiency in Microsoft Office software and ability to learn new applications.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous customer/member service experience, showcasing ability to provide exceptional customer support and resolve complex issues.
  • Previous banking or Credit Union experience, demonstrating knowledge of financial regulations, industry practices, and customer needs.
  • Episys/Symitar and processing wires experience, highlighting technical expertise and ability to adapt to new systems and technologies.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office software (e.g., Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint), gained through work experience, training, or hands-on use, demonstrating versatility and proficiency.
