Job Summary

The Quality Inspector will be responsible for receiving and verifying defective material, investigating and dispositioning material, and creating associations with other cross-functional departments to drive the disposition of parts. The successful candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform database transactions to manage the tracking, receiving, and storing of failed parts
• Systematically stamp parts of high interest for assisted return to engineers and technicians
• Route parts back to Suppliers, Quality Engineering, or Recycling based on direction and guidelines
• Maintain data integrity, accuracy, and efficiency of defect material throughput and efficiently logging data
• Provide data insights and result reports to help drive improvements
• Lead audits and support corrective actions based on defect cause
• Disposition defect material and sort material by inspection work instructions
• Maintain 5S and MRB best practices

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and a strong technical background. You will also need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across different associations within Tesla.

Essential Qualifications

• Ability to familiarize with the MRB database systems
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Technical background and troubleshooting experience
• Solid interpersonal skills and ability to build strong associations across different associations within Tesla
• Must be detail-oriented, strong, have good drive, determination, and quality-focused
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Valid driver's license and ability to drive a forklift

• Experience in a quality control or inspection role
• Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and standards
• Experience with database management and data analysis
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
