About the Role

As a Pharmacy Service Representative at blithequark, you will play a vital role in providing telephone support to patients receiving life-sustaining specialty drug therapy. Your responsibilities will include the overall coordination and processing of new patient medication orders and reorders, verifying and revivifying benefits, and assisting patients with translating and entering new or refill prescriptions into our pharmacy information system. You will also communicate and collect copay amounts, obtain authorizations, and work with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and internal teams to screen, identify, resolve, and defer orders with accounts receivable or clinical issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients, insurance companies, and internal partners via phone, ensuring timely processing of specialty medications and meeting financial and clinical expectations.
  • Coordinate and process new patient medication orders and reorders, including verifying benefits and assisting with prescription entry into the pharmacy information system.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers to resolve issues and ensure seamless delivery of specialty medications.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams to identify and resolve accounts receivable or clinical issues, ensuring high-quality patient care and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation, adhering to blithequark's policies and procedures.

Qualifications and Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

Essential Qualifications:

  • One year of experience in a customer service role, handling and resolving complex customer needs over the phone.
  • One year of work experience with Windows-based applications, including Microsoft Office, internet navigation, and email applications.
  • One year of computer keyboarding experience, with skills and aptitude in data entry and record-keeping.
  • A verifiable high school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Healthcare work experience and familiarity with benefits, insurance, prescriptions, and medical terminology.
  • Previous experience in a pharmacy or healthcare setting, with knowledge of specialty medications and patient care.

Compensation and Benefits
