As an External Support Engineer at blithequark, you will be the first point of contact for content teams when they encounter issues with our tools. Your expertise will help filter issues and feedback to our tools team, ensuring that our content creators can focus on what they do best – creating engaging content for our global audience. With a strong background in technical support, you will be responsible for providing top-notch support to our external content creation teams, creating reference materials, and training them on our toolset. **Key Responsibilities:** * Provide technical support to content/external teams in regards to use of content tools, ensuring that they have the necessary knowledge and skills to utilize our tools effectively * Create reference materials and provide training to get external teams up to speed with the toolset, including documentation, tutorials, and workshops * Solve and debug possible issues with tools and workflows to quickly resolve issues for users, leveraging your expertise in C# code and other relevant technologies * Escalate more complex or problematic issues to the tool development team, and work with production to track these issues in JIRA, ensuring that our content teams receive timely and effective support * Advocate for tools, workflow improvements, and suggestions from external teams, using your technical expertise to drive positive change * Partner with other engineers to develop tools and processes that improve efficiency and quality, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation * Guide or lead cross-disciplinary dialogs to drive features from initial concept to completion, ensuring that our content teams have the tools they need to succeed * Exemplify reliability, accountability, and professionalism in all work-related interactions, setting a high standard for yourself and your team **Essential Qualifications:** * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience * Experience supporting a live service or tool environment, with a strong understanding of technical support principles and best practices * Unity 3D game and tool development experience, with a solid grasp of C# code and other relevant technologies * Experience with Jira, Confluence, or other defect tracking software, with a strong understanding of project management principles and workflows * iOS and Android mobile development experience, with a solid understanding of mobile app development principles and best practices * 5 years' experience in delivering production-level code in a professional environment, with a strong track record of technical expertise and problem-solving skills **Preferred Qualifications:** * Master's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience * Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a strong ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines * Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders * Experience with Agile development methodologies, with a strong understanding of Scrum principles and practices * Familiarity with cloud-based services and infrastructure, with a solid understanding of cloud computing principles and best practices **Work Environment and Culture:** As an External Support Engineer at blithequark, you will be part of a dynamic and innovative team that is passionate about delivering exceptional content to our global audience.
