About the position
Responsibilities
• Identify intelligence information and provide analytical support to the Department of Corrections and the Division of Adult Parole.
• Examine computer data systems and open source databases to track individual offenders and gather intelligence.
• Assist community parole officers with data needs and provide information on offenders.
• Serve as a point of contact with federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies to ensure collaboration and intelligence sharing.
• Utilize geographic information systems (GIS) mapping tools to assist in managing offenders and provide information to law enforcement.
Requirements
• Six years of professional experience in criminal justice information analysis, data mining, or related fields.
• A combination of education in criminal justice or related fields and experience totaling six years.
• Ability to read and comprehend the English language and communicate effectively in English.
Nice-to-haves
• Experience with NCIC/CCIC databases and computerized investigatory tools.
• Experience performing legal research and analyzing legal documents.
• Experience interpreting complex rules and regulations.
