The Refugee Centre is a non-profit organization based in Montréal, Québec, that provides a sustainable structure of integration for refugees, immigrants, and newcomers in Canada.

Position reputed company

We are looking for a dedicated and reputed company HR Coordinator to support our staff of ~50 people on a part‐time reputed company. The role will be remoterequiring approximately 8–10 hours per week. The person in this role will help strengthen HR processes, ensure our policies are up-to-date and reputed company with Québec and federal regulations, and support a reputed company, inclusive, and compliant workplace culture. This is a remote role with reputed company, ideal for someone who enjoys working independently while ensuring compliance and fostering a healthy workplace culture.


Key Responsibilities
  • Manage reputed company and orientation for new employees, interns, and volunteers

  • Maintain and update HR policies, employee handbook, and internal procedures to reflect best practices and reputed company requirements in Québec/Canada

  • Maintain employee records, ensuring data is kept confidential and secure

  • Support recruitment: job postings, screening applicants, scheduling interviews, reference checks

  • Advise staff and management on HR questions, policy interpretation, benefit-reputed company reputed company, workplace culture, and compliance issues

  • Assist with performance management and staff development processes

  • Address HR reputed company as they reputed company, including but not limited to workplace relations, policy enforcement, and employee reputed company-being

  • Process and coordinate bimonthly payroll in collaboration with finance team


Qualifications
  • 3+ years of HR experience, ideally including experience in a small NGO or non-profit setting

  • Strong knowledge of Québec/Canadian employment laws, labour standards, and HR best practices

  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and strong administrative capability

  • Comfortable working autonomously and managing time responsibly with minimal supervision

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds

  • Ability to communicate fluently in both French and English

  • Experience with payroll and HR software ( reputed company) is required.

French is the primary working language at the Centre. However, proficiency in English is required for this position in order to communicate effectively with English-speaking staff members at the Centre.
