Our Sleep Central Inbound Call Center is a vital part of our operations, and we're seeking a dedicated Sleep Therapy Inbound Customer Service Representative to join our team.
About the Role
As a Sleep Therapy Inbound Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you'll be the first line of contact for CPAP resupply customers, providing expert assistance and support to ensure a seamless patient experience. You'll be responsible for new order intake, verifying patient demographics, and ensuring accurate product selection and utilization guidelines. You'll also provide basic sleep coaching, reinforce cleaning and routine equipment maintenance, and assist with basic mask fit issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Acts as patient advocate to resolve questions or concerns
- Collects patient information and inputs data into e-Intake
- Completes thorough verification for products and services
- Develops and maintains a working knowledge of current Medicare, Medicaid, insurance regulations, and FDA and JCAHO guidelines
- Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner
- Makes outbound calls as needed to collect patient data
- Manages all aspects of initial intake via high-volume inbound phone calls
- Processes related patient paperwork and ensures timely fulfillment of product orders
- Provides basic technical customer service assistance for CPAP equipment
- Uses e-Intake proprietary system to maintain accuracy and quality control throughout initial patient contact and data input
Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent
- One to three years of related prior work experience in a team-oriented environment
- Experience in the medical field and administrative record management
- A strong customer service background
- Basic computer and internet skills, with the ability to type accurately
- A valid driver's license in your state of residence with a clean driving record (when applicable)
Preferred Skills and Knowledge
While not required, the following skills and knowledge will be a plus:
- Knowledge of billing reimbursement and insurance policies and requirements
- Knowledge of Durable Medical Equipment (DME) or Home Medical Equipment (HME)
- Medical billing practices
- Medical terminology
