About the Role: Remote Customer Service/Sales Representative - Retention Specialist
In this critical role, you'll serve as a Retention Specialist, working closely with customers who wish to cancel their Blithequark services. Your expertise in problem-solving, customer service, and sales will help retain customers, drive growth, and deliver an award-winning experience that fosters brand loyalty. You'll handle a high volume of incoming calls, proactively identifying opportunities to recommend long-term solutions that meet customers' needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize customer service and sales experience to address customer concerns and provide solutions.
- Retain customers by re-selling them on the value of Blithequark services and products.
- Handle escalated calls with care, empathy, and professionalism, de-escalating situations and providing multiple offers to resolve concerns.
- Leverage exceptional problem-solving skills to quickly identify the cause of cancellation requests and negotiate solutions.
- Maintain knowledge of Blithequark policies, products, services, and systems, as well as the wireless industry and competitors.
- Multitask and use various tools to retain customers, including negotiating rates, crediting billing errors, and selling additional equipment.

Compensation and Benefits:
- Competitive hourly rate of $18.00, increasing to $21.00 after 180 days of employment.

Requirements and Qualifications
Essential Qualifications:
- 2+ years of sales experience, with a focus on customer retention and sales.
- 2+ years of call center customer service/sales experience.
- High school diploma, GED, or some college experience.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple screens and programs open.
- Experience with sales, customer retention, and customer experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of the wireless industry and competitors.
- Experience with contract interpretation and communication of terms and conditions.
- Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
Training and Onboarding
This role requires onsite training at our Wichita, KS office for 8-12 weeks. During this time, you'll receive daily support from our training and onboarding teams to ensure your success. Our training program focuses on product knowledge, selling/saving, competition, and systems training, equipping you to meet and exceed your sales targets.
Schedule and Work Arrangements
Our department is closed on weekends and most holidays, allowing our employees to enjoy every weekend off. This role requires a private, undisturbed workspace with high-speed internet (DSL, Cable, or Fiber) and the ability to hardwire via ethernet.
