Role Overview: Virtual Testing & Simulation Quality Assurance Engineer
We are seeking an exceptional Quality Assurance Engineer with expertise in virtual testing and simulation to join our MSP team. As a Virtual Testing & Simulation Quality Assurance Engineer, you will play a critical role in developing virtual platforms to test and verify solutions through simulations and emulations with high fidelity. You will partner with cross-functional teams, including Product Teams, QA Manual Testing and Requirements Teams, and internal customers, to drive high-quality product delivery and ensure that new solutions meet customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and execute simulations and Hardware-In-the-Loop (HIL) testing to virtually validate end-to-end solutions using real-life software.
- Ensure that products meet required specifications for quality, function, operation, reliability, maintenance, training, deployment, process integration, and service support prior to delivery.
- Identify and set quality standards and parameters for products, communicating these to hardware, software, controls, and materials development teams.
- Coordinate simulations and testing processes, analyzing issues, bugs, defects, and other problems, and recommending solutions to these issues.
- Collaborate with internal customers, reviewing client, customer, and user feedback to inform product development and improvement.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, local, and organizational laws, regulations, guidelines, and policies.
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree (BS) in a relevant field.
- 5+ years of proven experience working with large cross-functional engineering teams, with expertise in modeling, simulation, testing, integration, and/or quality assurance.
- Proven experience in fulfillment systems, including storage equipment, material handling systems, automated sortation systems, and related automation equipment.
- Excellent time management skills, with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to travel up to 70% to business locations and project sites.
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable:
- Experience with complex automated material handling equipment, packaging technologies, and systems, including robotics and high-speed manufacturing.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to coordinate with team members, operations, and management.
- Project management skills, with the ability to start and finish projects successfully.
