About the Role

As a Healthcare Customer Service Representative, you'll be the difference between an average and exceptional customer experience. You'll bring your passion for helping others to recommend upgrades to health plans, conduct research, and provide answers to customers regarding general healthcare benefit and eligibility questions. Your strong product and brand knowledge will enable you to consult on products with compassion and find resolutions for customer issues with a smile.

Key Responsibilities

  • Bring your passion and strong product and brand knowledge to recommend upgrades to health plans
  • Conduct research and make outbound calls to provide answers for customers regarding general healthcare benefit and eligibility questions, enrollment status requests for new and existing members
  • Assist members with logging into and understanding the functionality of their online health account, locating doctor and facility information
  • Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring a positive experience for every customer interaction

What You Bring to the Role

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • 6 months or more of customer service experience
  • Integrity to follow HIPAA guidelines on maintaining patient privacy
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Computer experience
  • High-speed internet (> 15 mbps)
  • A USB wired headset (or a compatible alternative)
  • A smartphone or another device that runs IOS or Android (e.g., iPad) for daily log-in

In addition to the above requirements, you'll need:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion

  • Previous experience in the healthcare industry
  • Knowledge of health insurance plans and benefits
  • Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) software
  • Bilingual or multilingual skills
