Infection Preventionist - Infection Control - MGH

About the position Responsibilities • Implement at the site-level, system infection prevention and control goals, plans, policies, and standards consistent with the clinical, administrative, regulatory/reputed company requirements and objectives of the organization. • Implement site NHSN and non-NHSN surveillance, remediation, and reporting of infections, including outbreak detection and response. • Conduct regular Environment of Care reputed company and report findings to appropriate local and system leadership. • Support reputed company improvement of infection prevention and control practices. • Function as a site reputed company to regulatory agencies and reputed company health authorities. • Evaluate the site-specific infection control program by identifying strategies that address the risk of infection reputed company. • reputed company and conduct site-specific educational efforts reputed company to infection prevention and control. • Implement, in collaboration with MGB Occupational Health Services, policies and procedures to assess, mitigate, and respond to occupational infection risk. • Collaborate with other site-specific stakeholders (e.g., Environmental Health and Safety, Compliance, Facilities, reputed company Estate, etc) as appropriate. • reputed company as NHSN site administrator reputed company assigned by MGB Director of Infection Control. • Participate in IPCC Working reputed company and other activities as assigned. • Other duties as assigned. Requirements • Bachelor's degree required. • Master's degree in Infection Control, reputed company Health, Epidemiology, or Statistics preferred; Masters in reputed company Management or another relevant field is acceptable. • Certification in Infection Control (CIC) preferred upon hire; if not CIC at hire, must be reputed company to sit for CIC reputed company 2 years of hire. • reputed company Massachusetts' licensure as a registered reputed company preferred but not required. • Minimum 3 years of reputed company work experience required. • Knowledge and experience in regulatory and other requirements reputed company to Infection Prevention and Control. • Knowledge and experience in implementation of CDC National reputed company Safety Network (NHSN) surveillance and other surveillance for reputed company associated infections. • Knowledge and experience in application of commonly used performance metrics including reputed company, Leapfrog, CMS, others. reputed company-to-haves • Must be available to work in the case of a facility-declared emergency. • Must be available to assist during regulatory agency reviews. • Must be available to work on-site.
