About the Role
As a Healthcare Customer Advisor at blithequark, you'll be dedicated to serving and managing the special needs of our members and their families. You'll be the primary point of contact, providing compassionate support and guidance through complex issues, and empowering families to navigate the healthcare system with confidence. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those who need it most.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide holistic family support to members with special needs, owning end-to-end resolution of issues and delivering a memorable, positive experience.
- Serve as an ongoing point of contact for members, primarily via phone, email, chat, and text, creating a supportive and empathetic relationship.
- Make decisions independently, solving problems creatively and completely using sound judgment and critical thinking.
- Plan, prioritize, organize, and complete work to meet established objectives, managing project time to ensure timely follow-up and outreach.
- Anticipate member needs, proactively seeking out internal and external resources to add value and support.
- Foster a strong team environment through mentoring, knowledge-sharing, and collaboration.
- Maintain accurate documentation and family counts on our platform.
- Provide high-quality member experiences, reflected in post-contact surveys and member feedback.
Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- A High School Diploma or equivalent work experience.
- 1+ year of experience helping, resolving, or advocating on behalf of members or customers.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 9:45am – 6:15pm CST, with occasional overtime as needed.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications will give you a competitive edge:
- 1+ year of experience in A4Me or 3+ months of Quick Assist experience.
- Claims processing experience.
- Experience providing care for children with special needs.
- Background in a member-focused healthcare environment.
- Experience in a service delivery capacity, such as social services, caregiving, hospitality, or non-profit work.

- Ability to diffuse member distress, manage complex situations, and translate complex benefit terminology into clear language.
- Agility and flexibility to excel in a fast-paced work environment with constant learning and change.
- A coachable mindset focused on professional development and implementing constructive feedback.
- High emotional intelligence, with the ability to separate self from complaints and focus on delivering thoughtful, compassionate care.

Compensation and Benefits
At blithequark, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including:
- Competitive compensation, with an hourly range of $18.80 - $36.78 per hour for California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York, New Jersey, Washington, and Rhode Island residents.
