About the Role
This role is a key member of the Payments and Digital Strategy crew within blithequark's Credit Union. As a Customer Service Representative, you'll be responsible for a range of tasks that ensure the smooth operation of our financial services. Your day-to-day activities will be diverse, challenging, and rewarding.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete data entry and balancing functions to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Coordinate return items with members, vendors, the Federal Reserve Bank, and other institutions to resolve issues promptly.
- Assist other departments with fraud resolution, member inquiries, and associated Accounting standard ledger balancing to provide excellent customer service.
- Work on member cases/issues assigned to you, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
- Follow and maintain guidelines and procedures to ensure strict compliance with NACHA regulations and guidelines and Federal Banking laws.
- Process loan payments, multi-account and member deposits, credit card payments, and other transactions, including IRA, bankruptcy, and payoff exams.
- Review, examine, and approve Remote Deposit, Mobile, ATM, and other imaged-enabled products to ensure secure and efficient processing.
- Log, study, and make necessary GL, account changes, and/or returns to maintain accurate records.
- Process Stop Pays and Check Batching to ensure timely and accurate transaction processing.
- Complete daily balancing and department closing to ensure smooth operations.
- Obtain information from members for the timely and accurate processing of international and domestic fund transfer requests.
- Research and confirm incoming and outgoing fund transfer information to ensure accuracy and security.
- Communicate with vendors to process fund transfers efficiently.
- Understand and be familiar with outgoing and incoming fund transfer laws to ensure compliance.
Requirements for Success
To excel in this role, you'll need a combination of education, experience, and skills. Here are the essential and preferred qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications
- High school degree or GED.
- Intermediate Excel and Word experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous customer/member service experience.
- Previous banking or Credit Union experience.
- Episys/Symitar and processing wires experience.
Skills and Competencies

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software (e.g., Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) gained through work experience or training.
