Job Summary: Postal Mail Processor
As a Postal Mail Processor with USPS, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and accurate processing of mail. Key Responsibilities:
- Receiving and verifying deliveries, reconciling mail packages, and performing data entry and record-keeping tasks
- Verifying the precision of postmarks on return receipts against certified mail receipts
- Selling stamps and providing customer service
- Scrutinizing incoming mail items for signs of tampering or unauthorized access and alerting the appropriate parties in case of any breach of security
- Relocating packages between different floors within office buildings
- Carrying out general office tasks, such as answering calls and tending to customer queries
- Providing assistance with postal services, including mail relocation, alternative mail delivery, and mail suspension
Essential Qualifications:
- US citizenship or permanent residency
- At least 18 years of age
- Ability to pass a drug test and background check
- Strong organizational and time management skills
