Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist II to spearhead complex analytical challenges by leading and mentoring a talented team of Data Analysts and Data Scientists. This role demands the application of advanced coding and modeling expertise to generate critical outputs for various analytics initiatives. You will collaborate closely with project teams to advance big data analytics projects, ensuring the precise execution of intricate tasks while delivering invaluable insights and actionable recommendations to our esteemed clients.

Key Responsibilities

As a Data Scientist II at Workwarp, you will be responsible for:
  • Guiding daily operations in partnership with case managers to transform analyses into influential findings and strategic recommendations.
  • Supervising analytical workflows, promoting the standardization and enhancement of essential analytical project types.
  • Providing mentorship and support to junior Data Analysts and Data Scientists, ensuring proficient project management and execution.
  • Collaborating with project teams to advance big data analytics projects, ensuring the precise execution of intricate tasks.
  • Developing and implementing advanced data analysis and modeling techniques to drive business growth and improve client outcomes.
  • Communicating complex analytical findings and recommendations to stakeholders through clear and concise reports and presentations.

Required Skills

To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in consulting or within the pharmaceutical/biotechnology sectors.
  • Proficiency in data manipulation and analysis utilizing SQL, Python, R, SAS, and Excel (including Power Query and VBA).
  • Familiarity with statistical testing and machine learning methods, encompassing supervised/unsupervised learning and automation learning techniques.
  • Acquaintance with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Snowflake) for extensive data analysis.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, or Qlik Sense.
  • Knowledge of healthcare datasets (e.g., Komodo, IQVIA, Symphony, Truven, Optum) is beneficial.
  • Ability to manage multiple substantial projects while participating in the formulation and development of analytical strategies.

Qualifications

We are looking for a self-driven, intelligent individual with a robust work ethic and strong collaborative abilities. An enthusiasm for problem-solving paired with a solid grounding in team management is essential. A background in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry is preferred; however, expertise in other relevant sectors is appreciated.
