Job Summary

We're seeking caring and talented Remote Healthcare Billing and Customer Service Representatives to join our team. As a Remote Healthcare Billing and Customer Service Representative, you'll play a vital role in helping patients and their families understand their medical bills and providing them with options to resolve their account balances. You'll work as an extended business office representative on behalf of our clients, using your excellent communication skills, empathy, and computer proficiency to deliver outstanding customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Using empathy and fantastic listening, verbal, and written communication skills to help patients and their families understand confusing medical bills.
  • Provide outstanding customer service and collaborate with patients over the phone on affordable payment plans, and take payments by phone.
  • Accurately document all calls and follow-ups in our software systems throughout each day, using your computer proficiency, organization, and attention to detail.
  • Support your fellow team members with consistent attendance, excellent work ethic, and a caring team focus.
  • Continuously improve your skills and performance with supportive coaching and feedback from your manager and team leads, as well as ongoing training.

Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong computer proficiency and ability to learn our software systems.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Empathy and understanding when dealing with patients and their families.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are highly preferred:

  • Previous experience in customer service, healthcare billing, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of medical billing and insurance terminology.
  • Experience working in a remote or work-from-home environment.

Ongoing training and coaching will also be provided to help you continuously improve your skills and performance.
