About the Role
We are looking for a talented and customer-focused individual to fill a part-time Customer Service Representative position, working approximately 3-29 hours per week. As a remote worker, you will have the flexibility to choose from a variety of shifts that suit your schedule, including Sundays only, Saturdays and Sundays, or Saturdays only, with varying hours to accommodate your needs. Our ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering exceptional customer service, applying the latest techniques, and learning our account management systems to improve the customer experience during challenging times.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide positive customer service and technical expertise through prompt, accurate, and courteous responses to customer inquiries
- Offer empathy and support to customers during the claim process, ensuring a compassionate and professional approach
- Collect and document all claim details provided by the customer into the claim system accurately and efficiently
- Identify and resolve customer issues by adhering to client-specific handling instructions and utilizing call scripting for consistency and efficiency
- Remain available for extended hours or additional shifts during peak periods or emergency situations to provide critical support
- Adhere to break and lunch schedules to maintain productivity and ensure consistent customer service coverage
- Successfully demonstrate blithequark's core values, including customer-first, self-motivated, teamwork, and continuous improvement
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and abilities:
- Language skills: ability to read and interpret documents such as police and accident reports, write routine correspondence, and project a confident, clear, and professional telephone presence
- Bi-lingual in Spanish is preferred, but not required
- Computer skills: knowledge of basic computer functions, including Microsoft Word and Excel, and the ability to type at least 40 words per minute
- High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) required
- 1-2 years of quality assurance experience preferred, but not essential
Network Requirements
To ensure a seamless and secure working experience, you will need to meet the following network requirements:
- Run a speed test from the computer you will be working from (www.speedtest.net) upon hire
- Have a reliable internet connection, with an Ethernet connection strongly recommended
- Work from a private network, not a public location
- No VPNs are allowed, as logins must happen in the US
