About the Role
As a Music Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping the musical journey of our students, from kindergarten to high school. You will be responsible for creating engaging lesson plans, collaborating with colleagues, and communicating with parents, administrators, and educational supports to ensure the best possible outcomes for our students. Key Responsibilities:
- Foster student achievement and development through music education
- Carry out teaching assignments and work in cooperation with the instructional team and/or department chair
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop lessons and improve instruction and student performance
- Communicate regularly with parents, administrators, and educational supports
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay updated on best practices in music education
Essential Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
- A passing score on the FL Subject Area Exam
- Obtained or be eligible for a FL Teaching Certificate
- Alternatively, you may be eligible for the Military Veterans Certification Pathway if you have a minimum of 48 months of active duty military service with an honorable/medical discharge and a minimum of 60 college credits with a 2.5 grade point average

- Experience in music education or a related field
- A strong understanding of music theory, history, and pedagogy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
