Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and certified Teacher to join our team in the SE Houston area, specifically in Pasadena. As a full-time Teacher, you will play a vital role in addressing the learning loss that has surfaced due to the COVID pandemic. Your expertise will be invaluable in helping students overcome their skill deficits and achieve on-level academic success. Key Responsibilities

  • Instructing Small Groups: Deliver Reading/ELA and Math instruction to small groups of students in multiple grade levels, focusing on intervention and utilizing a prescribed curriculum and the gradual release model of instruction.
  • Lesson Planning: Develop and maintain individualized, skill-appropriate lesson plans using company-provided curriculum and materials.
  • Student Supervision: Ensure the supervision of students at all times, including escorting them safely to and from classrooms or learning stations.
  • Data Entry and Communication: Perform timely data entry to meet deadlines, including student attendance, online pre/post testing, progress reports, and parent and classroom teacher communication forms. Maintain consistent communication with company supervisors, classroom teachers, principals, and parents.
  • Parent Meetings and Conferences: Schedule and attend parent meetings/conferences to discuss student progress and address concerns.
  • Record Keeping: Establish and maintain student forms and files as required by the company, local, state, and federal agencies.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or Higher: Hold a Bachelor's Degree or higher in Education or a related field.
  • Teaching Certificate: Possess a valid Teaching Certificate.
  • Classroom Experience: Have classroom teaching, internship, or tutoring experience.
  • Subject Expertise: Be willing and able to teach both Math and Reading/ELA to various grade levels.
  • Technical Skills: Have a working knowledge of MS Office and Zoom/Teams (preferred).
  • Passion for Education: Demonstrate a genuine passion for helping students overcome their challenges and achieve academic success.

  • Experience with Intervention Programs: Have experience with small group intervention or similar programs.
  • Familiarity with Educational Technology: Be familiar with educational software and technology that supports instruction and data analysis.
