Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Area Manager - Maintenance to join our team in Greencastle, IN. This role is a unique opportunity for a skilled professional to lead our maintenance department, ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse equipment and compliance with state and federal regulations. As an Area Manager - Maintenance, you will be responsible for communicating effectively with individuals and groups, implementing business plans, managing staffing and scheduling, and maintaining quality and safety standards. Your strong leadership skills, combined with your technical expertise, will be essential in supervising and developing associates and leaders, managing financial aspects, and fostering a culture of integrity, ethics, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Communicate with individuals or groups verbally and/or in writing to achieve facility goals and resolve concerns.
  • Implement the business plan for the area of responsibility by communicating goals, managing staffing and scheduling, assigning duties, and coordinating workloads.
  • Monitor and manage productivity by preparing, reviewing, and analyzing business reports to ensure facility goals are met.
  • Maintain quality and safety standards by ensuring associates are trained on Logistics and company policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Supervise and develop associates and leaders by assigning duties, coordinating workloads, monitoring performance, and providing feedback.
  • Manage maintenance department daily operations, including monitoring department performance related to maintaining warehouse equipment and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Manage financial aspects by monitoring and tracking expenses and capital expenditures compared to budget and preparing business reports.

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree or Technical School Certification in an Industrial related field and 1 year of related maintenance department supervisory experience.
  • OR Bachelor's Degree in a Business, Industrial, or related field.
  • OR 1 year of supervisory experience in a maintenance-related environment, supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing managers/supervisors.
  • OR 2 years of Walmart Logistics maintenance experience, including six months of experience leading a work or project team.
  • OR 2 years of supervisory experience in an industrial-related environment, supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing managers/supervisors, with 1 year of experience in the maintenance field.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following preferred qualifications will be considered an asset:

  • Compliance, General Maintenance, Microsoft Office, Refrigeration Equipment - Supermarkets, Supervising Associates, Warehouse Management Systems.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or Logistics.
