Job Overview

The Sales and Education Specialist will play a critical role in our company's success, responsible for driving sales, educating retail and salon staff, and promoting our brand initiatives. Key Responsibilities

  • Build and nurture strong relationships with store staff and retail management in ULTA, ensuring effective communication and collaboration to drive sales and promote our brand
  • Train, educate, and motivate retail and salon staff in assigned territory, providing product knowledge, sales techniques, and customer service skills to enhance their performance and productivity
  • Assist in recruiting, hiring, coaching, and training productive and effective selling specialists to support business growth and expansion
  • Execute, support, and promote all PUR promotions, brand initiatives, and product launches, ensuring timely and effective implementation to drive sales and increase brand visibility
  • Maintain PUR image of beauty by adhering to company policies and dress code, demonstrating a professional and polished appearance at all times
  • Lead by example through personally demonstrating effective sales techniques, selling skills, and meeting daily sales goals, inspiring and motivating others to achieve their full potential
  • Drive and increase sales volume in the assigned territory, analyzing productivity reports, monthly and weekly numbers to identify areas for improvement and optimize sales strategies
  • Maintain ongoing and consistent communication with all in-store staff and management, ensuring seamless collaboration and effective issue resolution
  • Analyze weekly expense reports, meeting deadlines, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Ensure PUR planograms are updated on time, and all componentry is correct, monitoring the appearance, standards, graphics, and stock levels to maintain an impactful and visually appealing store presence
  • Work to gain additional visual exposure via end caps, seasonal displays, and other promotional opportunities, maximizing brand visibility and driving sales

Essential Qualifications

  • Retail cosmetics experience, with a proven track record of exceeding sales goals and driving business growth
  • Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers, store staff, and retail management
  • Strong selling and communication skills, with the ability to effectively promote products, services, and brand initiatives
  • Relationship-building skills, with the ability to establish and maintain strong partnerships with key stakeholders
  • Self-driven and motivated, with a passion for the industry and the brand
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel within the assigned territory, with the ability to work weekends and holidays
  • Able to engage and pull customers to the brand, with a strong understanding of sales techniques and customer service principles

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ulta sales experience, with a deep understanding of the retail cosmetics industry and the ULTA business model
  • Cosmetic consultations and assessing skin types, with a strong knowledge of beauty products and services
