Worship Minister

Bethlehem Covenant Church Job Description: Worship Minister/Coordinator (revised: 10/2024) Hours: Part-Time (flexible) Bethlehem Covenant, located in South Minneapolis, is seeking a part-time worship minister to provide musical leadership and coordination for our contemporary service. This position is an important next step for our growing church family and our staff team as we lead our intergenerational community. This position assumes a growing and vibrant relationship with Jesus, experience leading worship, and an ability to work alongside a staff team, and within the culture of the Bethlehem Covenant community. Job Duties Coordinate with staff and music leadership on a weekly basis to create our contemporary worship experience: • Provide the relational leadership necessary to equip musicians and tech teams to create a discipling and community-focused environment. • Schedule musicians and sound/AV team, plan worship music consistent with sermon themes, and provide communication to support this growing community of worshippers. • Provide regular worship leadership in the contemporary service while also seeking to empower others. • Encourage and support the use of creativity in worship through musical arrangements, readings, prayers, litanies, responsive readings, etc. Invite others to grow in leadership and their expression of worship. Meet regularly with the staff team and church council (as needed) providing a leadership voice in the church community consistent with the goal and objectives. Manage and maintain instruments and equipment relevant to the worship experience in partnership with other musicians and staff.
