Job Summary

The Senior Director, Global Category Finance is a key member of our Global Marketing finance team, reporting to the Vice President, Finance, Global Marketing. As a thought leader and analytical expert, you will provide strategic guidance and financial insights to our Global Category President and category leads. Your expertise will help drive business growth, optimize resource allocation, and inform strategic decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Category Long Range Plan process: Lead the development of the Category Long Range Plan, making recommendations on resource allocation and providing guidance on investment levels for respective brands.
  • Financial analysis and insights: Provide financial and business insights on drivers of overall Category performance, based on discussions with Operating Unit category teams, Investment management teams, and information from Rolling Estimates and the Annual Business Plan.
  • Global initiatives and campaigns: Collaborate with Category Leads to identify and prioritize global initiatives and campaigns across the Network, defining key initiatives on an ongoing basis.
  • Budget management: Manage Category budgets, risks, and opportunities, ensuring deployment of funds that balance strategic objectives and in-year needs.
  • Operating model integration: Integrate the new Operating model adopted by the Global Marketing function into finance planning, driving efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Strategic partnerships: Co-lead efforts with GC teams and Corporate Strategy to identify and craft strategies to tap into white spaces, and assess different business models.
  • Financial analysis and modeling: Lead the development of finance analysis, including value chain analysis, financial modeling, DME analytics, opportunity assessment, return on investment analysis, and cash flow analysis.
  • Communication and interpretation: Communicate and interpret findings across brand, category, and consumer, providing additional perspectives on implications, risk, opportunity, and trends.
  • Team leadership: Lead a networked team, developing and sustaining a diverse and high-performing team, coaching, guiding, and mentoring team members.

Requirements and Qualifications

Essential Qualifications

  • Financial experience: At least 12 years of financial experience, with a background in financial and business analysis, and demonstrated commercial acumen.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in STEM, Finance, or Accounting; MBA, CPA, CFA, or master's degree preferred.
  • Analytical skills: Advanced quantitative analytical skills, with the ability to draw insights and actions from large datasets.
  • Collaboration and influencing: Strong collaborative and influential style, with the ability to effectively work with a global networked organization.
  • Technology adoption: Keen adopter of technology, with experience in financial systems and software platforms.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of KO financial systems: Understanding of The Coca-Cola Company's financial systems and operations.
  • Consumer goods experience: Experience in the consumer goods industry, with knowledge of the value chain.
