Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Call Center Representative to join our team at blithequark. As a Call Center Representative, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, handling high-volume client requests, and performing data entry tasks with accuracy and efficiency. This is a remote opportunity, and you will have the flexibility to work from the comfort of your own home.

Key Responsibilities

  • Utilize blithequark's prescription information entry methodology and rules to process new patient enrollments and enter data into the appropriate system.
  • Handle patient medication requests within HIPAA guidelines and enter refill orders for processing.
  • Investigate to obtain missing prescription data and interpret medical abbreviations (SIG codes).
  • Resolve all data entry-related exceptions and communicate with patients, prescribers, and other stakeholders as needed.
  • Provide support to pharmacists, both in the office and in other locations, and escalate issues to senior-level staff as appropriate.
  • Handle Third-Party Rejections by reviewing, gathering information, making corrections, and resubmitting for processing according to individual plan requirements.
  • Make phone calls to providers and others to obtain information, gain override approval, or otherwise resolve Third-Party Rejections.

Essential Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Basic level computer skills (e.g., starting and shutting down a computer, using a mouse to point and click, starting and closing programs, switching between applications, saving files, printing documents, and accessing information online).
  • Basic web browser skills, including opening a browser, typing URLs in the correct location, using a search engine, bookmarking a website, navigating using back/forward/stop buttons, and completing forms online.
  • Intermediate-level keyboarding skills (at least 25 WPM, typing by memory, formatting documents).
  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of pharmacy technician experience in a retail or call center environment.
  • At least 1-2 years as a pharmacy technician with a certification/registration by the state as granted by the State Board of Pharmacy or nationally recognized certification agency.
  • Experience providing customer service to internal and external customers, including meeting quality standards for services and assessment of customer satisfaction.
  • Intermediate to advanced-level keyboarding skills (at least 35 WPM, typing by memory, formatting documents).
  • Fluency in Spanish and English.
