Why Join WorkWarp & AFL – Pioneering the Future of Fiber Optic Connectivity

At WorkWarp, we partner with industry giants to bring groundbreaking solutions to market. Our collaboration with AFL, a world‑leading manufacturer of fiber optic cable, connectivity, and accessories, means you’ll be part of a legacy that started in 1984 with a single fiber optic cable and has grown into a $1.5 billion enterprise employing roughly 7,000 professionals worldwide. We recognize that people are our greatest asset, and we invest heavily in talent development, continuous learning, and career progression. By joining our team, you’ll help shape the future of global telecommunications while enjoying a flexible, hybrid work environment that respects work‑life balance.

Position Overview – Junior Oracle Business Analyst (Remote – West‑Coast Hours)

We are actively seeking a highly motivated Junior Oracle Business Analyst to support our West‑Coast operations (8:30 am – 5:30 pm PT). This remote‑first role reports directly to the Manager of Oracle Services and collaborates closely with senior Business Analysts, Process Owners, Developers, and end‑users across supply‑chain, manufacturing, and commercial functions. The primary focus will be on Order Management, but the role will also touch on additional Oracle modules as business priorities evolve.

Key Responsibilities – What You’ll Be Doing Every Day

  • Business Process Discovery & Documentation: Lead stakeholder workshops, capture “as‑is” processes, and map them into clear, consumable diagrams and narrative descriptions.
  • Requirements Engineering: Translate business needs into functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria, distinguishing between must‑have requirements and nice‑to‑have enhancements.
  • Solution Design & Gap Analysis: Leverage deep knowledge of Oracle E‑Business Suite (EBS) versions 11i and 12 to propose optimal configurations, customizations, or integrations that close identified gaps.
  • SDLC Participation: Actively contribute to every phase of the Software Development Life Cycle – from design, development oversight, and testing to training, deployment, and post‑go‑live support.
  • Test Planning & Execution: Develop comprehensive test plans, conduct functional and regression testing, and document results to ensure solution integrity.
  • Project Management: Use ServiceNow ITBM to create and maintain project schedules, assign tasks, monitor progress, and communicate status to stakeholders.
  • Training & Enablement: Produce user guides, quick‑reference materials, and deliver live training sessions or demos to drive adoption and confidence among end‑users.
  • Compliance & Audit Support: Maintain process documentation (flowcharts, narratives) needed for external audits, JSOX compliance, and international trade regulations.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for automation, standardization, and best‑practice adoption across the Oracle landscape, helping the organization maximize ROI on technology investments.
  • Production Support: Participate in triaging critical production incidents, providing timely resolutions to keep business operations running smoothly.

Essential Qualifications – The Foundations for Success

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related discipline from an accredited university.
  • Oracle Experience: 1–3 years of hands‑on experience as an Oracle Business Analyst, specifically supporting Oracle EBS (versions 11i and/or 12).
  • Business Acumen: Proven ability to understand end‑to‑end supply‑chain and manufacturing processes, especially Order Management (customer master, order creation, credit checks, inventory, shipping, advanced pricing).
  • Analytical Skills: Strong aptitude for dissecting complex problems, conducting root‑cause analysis, and delivering data‑driven recommendations.
  • Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication, capable of influencing senior stakeholders and facilitating cross‑functional workshops.
  • Project Coordination: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple deadlines, organize workstreams, and keep projects on schedule.
  • Technical Literacy: Familiarity with integration concepts (e.g., AR‑Invoicing, CRM systems like Salesforce.com) and basic understanding of SQL or PL/SQL is advantageous.

Preferred Qualifications – What Will Set You Apart

  • Experience with ERP implementation methodologies (e.g., ASAP, Oracle Fusion) and change‑control processes.
  • Exposure to ServiceNow ITBM or similar project‑tracking tools.
  • Certifications such as Oracle Certified Associate (OCA) or Oracle Business Analyst Professional.
  • Knowledge of JSOX, ISO, or other regulatory frameworks relevant to manufacturing and telecommunications.
  • Prior involvement in agile environments or Scrum teams.

Core Skills & Competencies – The DNA of a High‑Performing Analyst

  • Process Mapping & Modelling: Proficiency in tools like Visio, Lucidchart, or BPMN for visualizing workflows.
  • Requirement Elicitation: Ability to ask probing questions, facilitate interviews, and capture precise business needs.
  • Solution Architecture Insight: Understanding of how Oracle modules interact (Order Management, Inventory, Billing, CRM) and how to design cohesive solutions.
  • Testing Discipline: Skill in writing test cases, executing test cycles, and documenting defects.
  • Change Management: Aptitude for preparing users for new processes, managing resistance, and ensuring smooth transitions.
  • Data‑Driven Mindset: Comfort analyzing system reports, dashboards, and metrics to validate solution impact.
  • Collaboration: Strong team player who can work across geographically distributed teams and build trust quickly.

Career Growth & Learning Opportunities – Your Path Forward

At AFL, your development is a strategic priority. As a Junior Oracle Business Analyst, you will have access to:

  • Mentorship Programs: Direct guidance from senior Oracle analysts and the Manager of Oracle Services.
  • Professional Development Budget: Funding for certifications, conferences (e.g., Oracle OpenWorld), and advanced training courses.
  • Cross‑Functional Rotation: Opportunities to work on projects within supply‑chain, manufacturing, finance, and sales, broadening your business perspective.
  • Leadership Pathways: Clear career ladders toward Senior Business Analyst, Solution Architect, or Product Manager roles.
  • Innovation Labs: Participation in internal hackathons and process‑improvement initiatives that can lead to patents or industry‑wide best practices.
