About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Middle School Floater Teacher to join our dynamic and supportive educational environment. As a floater, you will be responsible for substituting as needed in the classroom, reporting directly to the assigned campus each day, and receiving teaching assignments for the day. If a substitute is not needed, you will assist classroom teachers in the general supervision and management of a classroom of children, or provide assistance to the principal as needed. Key Responsibilities

  • Substitute as needed in the classroom, reporting directly to the assigned campus each day and receiving teaching assignments for the day.
  • Assist classroom teachers in the general supervision and management of a classroom of children, or provide assistance to the principal as needed.
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs and interests of students.
  • Provide individualized support and guidance to students, helping them to overcome challenges and achieve their academic goals.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement school-wide initiatives and programs that promote student success and well-being.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay up-to-date with best practices in education.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field from an accredited or approved college or university.
  • Valid teaching certification or license in the state of California.
  • At least 2 years of experience in teaching or education, preferably in a middle school setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities, with a flexible and positive attitude.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Education or a related field from an accredited or approved college or university.
  • Experience in teaching STEAM-based subjects, such as science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics.
  • Knowledge of curriculum design and implementation, with experience in developing and implementing engaging lesson plans.
  • Experience in working with diverse student populations, including students with special needs and English language learners.
  • Ability to speak multiple languages, with experience in working with students and families from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds.

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits

  • A salary range of $65,000 to $72,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
