About the Position
We are currently seeking an experienced Youth Soccer Coach to join our team in Hawthorn Woods, IL. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and safe soccer sessions to young children, while promoting character development and a love for the game. Key Responsibilities
- Pre-Session Preparation: Attend coaches' meetings, review online curriculum, and maintain equipment in proper condition.
- Coaching Sessions: Ensure the safety and well-being of every child, follow proper on-site protocol, and conduct fun and positive 30- to 45-minute sessions, following the weekly Soccer Shots curriculum.
- Communication and Administration: Communicate with supervisors about any changes, challenges, or important information, complete online attendance sheets, and submit timesheets per payroll policy.
Essential Qualifications
- Passion for Working with Children: Must love children and have a passion to make a difference in their lives.
- Reliable Transportation and Valid Driver's License: Must have reliable transportation and a valid Driver's License.
- Coaching, Childhood Education, and/or Soccer Experience: Coaching, childhood education, and/or soccer experience are preferred.
- Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Soccer Background: A soccer background is preferred.
- Background Check: Must pass an Illinois and FBI fingerprint Background Check and undergo a medical exam in accordance with DCFS standards.
Preferred Qualifications
- Early Childhood Education Certification: Early childhood education certification is an asset.
- Soccer Coaching Experience: Soccer coaching experience, particularly with young children, is preferred.
- First Aid and CPR Certification: First aid and CPR certification is an asset.
