About Our Team – Designing Experiences (EXO)

Our Designing Experiences (EXO) team is responsible for creating a unified, consistent experience across developer devices at Netflix. We work cross-functionally with partners across engineering to make working within the Netflix engineering ecosystem more efficient and engaging for all. Our focus is on increasing productivity, minimizing toil, and managing the setup of tools at Netflix. As a UI Software Engineer, you will play a critical role in helping us achieve our goals.

Key Responsibilities

As a UI Software Engineer at Netflix, you will be primarily responsible for the developer platform that powers the front door that the entire engineering organization will rely on for daily operations. Some example objectives for projects include:

• Reducing friction, mental overhead, work, and time required to adopt innovations across Netflix engineering
• Simplifying and standardizing the asset ownership experience across Netflix to ensure all engineering assets have clear owners
• Making it easier for engineers across the company to discover tools, applications, and Space Map Services

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Experience building web applications using React, JavaScript, HTML, CSS
• Experience working with GraphQL and creating schemas
• A passion for user experience and an eye for improving UIs
• A willingness to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

• Experience with Webpack Module Federation
