Overview

We are seeking an experienced Program/Project Manager to lead a large-scale broadband network infrastructure deployment. This role will coordinate procurement, supply chain, engineering, and field operations teams to ensure disciplined execution and successful delivery. The Project Manager will be hands-on in developing and maintaining project documentation, standardizing processes, and driving reporting and accountability across workstreams.

 

This is a communications network infrastructure role (not IT), requiring prior experience in broadband, cable, or related network programs. Experience with large-scale equipment (such as network routers, optical shelves and cards) or CPE replacement initiatives is highly desirable. The position is remote, primarily aligned with MST hours, with flexibility to support meetings across all U.S. time zones. All qualified candidates MUST be authorized to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship. Please note that we do not work C2C.

Duties & Responsibilities

Planning & Delivery

  • Own the integrated project plan and ensure cross-functional alignment to business goals.
  • Establish scalable, repeatable processes to manage high-volume equipment replacement activities.
  • Coordinate workflow across engineering, supply chain, and field operations teams including within Hubs and colocation facilities

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Lead project meetings, set expectations, and hold teams accountable for commitments.
  • Partner with stakeholders to ensure transparency, alignment, and proactive issue resolution.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement through metrics, feedback, and collaboration.

Reporting & Risk Management

  • Provide clear, data-driven progress reporting and dashboards for executive visibility.
  • Identify risks and dependencies, establish escalation paths, and drive timely resolution.
  • Integrate governance, compliance, and quality assurance into all deliverables.

Requirements

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Candidates must have strong practical experience in program and/or project management, which was gained through managing large, high volume and complex projects. He/she must have the following:
  • 5+ years of program/project management experience using formal project management methodology.
  • Strong background in broadband, cable, phone, satellite, or wireless infrastructure projects.
  • Preference for direct experience with network infrastructure, port migrations, shelf/card installs and decommissions, wave service migrations, EPON or large-scale CPE replacement. (especially in any of the following areas Cable, Managed Services, RF,  WiFi, Wireless, Mobile, Broadband, Video, Voice)
  • Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams in complex, high-volume environments.
  • Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and present to executives.
  • Solid knowledge of supply chain procedures, planning, and risk mitigation.
  • Hands-on proficiency with MS Planner/Project, Jira, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Ability to think analytically and process information quickly, presenting it in a succinct and insightful format suitable for executives

 

Qualifications/Technical Skill Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of program/project management experience using formal project management methodology
  • Experience working with PMO stakeholders in engineering, network infrastructure, and field operations team environments
  • Direct hands-on proficiency with MS Planner/Project, Jira, PowerPoint and Excel are necessary
  • Experience building standardized reporting using data analytics and visualization.

 

Education/Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree is required with a preference in Business, Engineering, Communications
  • PMP certification or similar is desired

Compensation

For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in Colorado, Sand Cherry Associates is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range considers a wide range of factors considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and delivery model. This is a 6 -12 month engagement with an annualized salary of $115,000 - $125,000. Years of experience, level of education, geographic location, unique skills/qualifications for the specific role and potential certifications can be key factors in the final compensation for this role.
