Position Overview

The Verizon Analytics Specialist will play a vital role in supporting our Verizon Analytics and Marketing team. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with the Analytics team to provide actionable insights from Verizon campaigns, build and manage automated reporting for new initiatives, and synthesize campaign insights into recommendations for key stakeholders. Your expertise in data mining, analytical tools, and data visualization will be essential in driving business growth and informing marketing strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete end-to-end campaign analysis of historical and ongoing acquisition campaign performance to identify successful campaigns and develop actionable recommendations in collaboration with the analytics leader.
  • Partner with marketing leads and finance lead to assess acquisition and lifecycle strategies, leveraging existing internal reporting to capture run rate, understand customer behavior, and refine the engagement strategy.
  • Collaborate with the analytics team to identify Device Financing transactions, build automated reporting, and create data visualizations to track the launch of new initiatives.
  • Provide support for standard and ad hoc reports, including data pulls, formatting, and loading into reporting and analytics systems.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned, demonstrating your ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree or, in lieu of a degree, a high school diploma/GED and 5+ years of experience in analytics.
  • 3+ years of experience in analytics, preferably within financial services, retail, or credit card payments.
  • 3+ years of experience with analytical tools, including SAS, SQL, and Tableau.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities concurrently.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau or BIRST.
  • Experience measuring marketing campaigns and interpreting results.
  • Ability to excel in a remote environment while holding a high level of personal accountability and drive.

Desired Characteristics

While not essential, the following characteristics are highly desirable:

  • Experience utilizing SAS or SQL for data mining and dataset creation.
  • Ability to provide analytical support, including data pulling and validation, writing optimized code, extrapolating views through efficient data manipulation, and strategic thinking.
  • Strength in working with various data formats and the ability to efficiently aggregate data in a manner discernible to the broader team.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders and deadlines.
