Job Summary
We're looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Call Center Representative to join our team. As a Call Center Representative, you'll be responsible for handling patient enrollment, answering high-volume customer calls, and providing exceptional customer service. Key Responsibilities
- Utilize Walgreens' solution information entry methods and rules to process new patient enrollment by entering information into the proper system.
- Handle patient medication requests within HIPAA guidelines and enter refill orders for processing.
- Investigate to obtain missing medication data, and decipher clinical abbreviations (SIG codes).
- Settle all information entry-related exceptions.
- Handle correspondence to patients (inbound calls, chats, messages) and make outbound calls to prescribers and patients as necessary.
- Settle external exceptions by inspecting, gathering data, making adjustments, and resubmitting for processing according to individual account requirements.
- Make phone calls to support plans and others to obtain data, gain supersede endorsement, or otherwise settle the external exceptions.
- Provide support to pharmacists, both those in the office and those at other locations.
- Identify and communicate issues to senior-level staff as necessary.
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you'll need to possess the following essential qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Basic computer skills, including starting and closing a computer, using a mouse to point and click, starting and closing programs, switching between programs, saving files, printing documents, or accessing data online.
- Basic web search skills, including opening a browser, typing URLs in the correct field, using a search engine, bookmarking a website, navigating using back/forward/stop buttons, and completing forms online.
- Transitional-level keyboarding skills, including typing at least 25 WPM, typing by memory, and organizing files.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications would be beneficial in this role:
- At least one year of pharmacy experience in a retail or call center environment.
- At least one and a half years of experience as a pharmacy professional with a certification/enrollment by state as recognized by the state Board of Pharmacy or a widely recognized certification organization.
- Experience providing customer service to internal and external clients, including meeting quality standards for services, and assessing customer satisfaction.
- Intermediate to advanced-level keyboarding skills, including typing at least 35 WPM, typing by memory, and organizing reports.
- Familiarity with Spanish and English.
