Key Responsibilities

As a Full Stack Building Controls Specialist, your key responsibilities will include:
  • Leading diagnostic procedures to identify and resolve complex issues related to building controls systems
  • Providing proactive solutions to clients and partners to minimize support costs and ensure safety and satisfaction
  • Applying advanced software strategies to drive energy efficiency and sustainability, including programming and implementing energy-saving measures
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to share knowledge, resources, and best practices in building execution and controls
  • Identifying and addressing business needs and client requirements while prioritizing and executing work tasks
  • Providing guidance, feedback, and support to colleagues to ensure quality work and adaptability to change
  • Developing, implementing, and sharing processes and practices to address business challenges and improve outcomes
  • Investigating and applying data from various sources to monitor progress and results
  • Recognizing and capitalizing on opportunities for growth and improvement
  • Participating in teams to share knowledge, resources, and best practices in building execution and controls
  • Completing work tasks and meeting needs in Building Execution and Controls using available resources, information, and assets

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as engineering, computer science, or a related field
  • At least 2 years of experience in building controls, client support, or a related field
  • Strong technical skills, including programming languages, software applications, and data analysis
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, partners, and colleagues
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on collaboration and knowledge-sharing
  • Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality results

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications would be an asset in this role:
  • Experience with building management systems (BMS) and energy management systems (EMS)
  • Knowledge of energy efficiency and sustainability principles and practices
  • Experience with data analysis and reporting tools, such as Excel, SQL, or Tableau
  • Certifications in building controls, energy management, or a related field
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
