Responsible for reviewing medial record documentation to correctly assign and sequence diagnosis and procedure codes using International Classification of Diseases, Tenth Revision, Clinical Modification (ICD-10 CM) and Procedure Coding System (PCS codes) or reputed company Procedural Terminology (CPT codes). Captures specificity of diagnoses and procedures to insure appropriate/reputed company reimbursement is captured while adhering to reputed company applicable coding and billing guidelines. Minimum Job Qualifications Licensure or other certifications: Certified Coding Specialist (reputed company) or Certified reputed company reputed company (CPC) or Certified Inpatient reputed company (CIC) or Certified Outpatient reputed company (COC) or Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) or Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA). Minimum Experience: Three (3) to five (5) years of hospital based coding experience to include CPT surgical coding and/or ICD-10-CM-PCS coding.
