Job Overview and Responsibilities

As a Part-Time Customer Support Representative, you will play a vital role in delivering top-tier experiences to our business clients. Your primary responsibility will be to assist clients in navigating an array of post-order issues, such as delivery questions, damages, returns, replacements, assembly services, and order notifications. You will be the voice of Wayfair, working to build relationships with business clients who reach out to us via inbound calls, chats, and emails. Your goal will be to provide empathetic and effective support, ensuring that our clients receive the best possible solutions to their concerns.

  • Handle a high volume of customer inquiries, approximately 50-60 calls per shift, in a fast-paced and highly organized environment
  • Meet our superior performance bar by exceeding customer satisfaction targets and achieving customer care productivity metrics
  • Engage clients with energy and enthusiasm, building relationships and providing personalized support
  • Listen effectively and show compassion, actively seeking to understand client concerns and provide timely and effective solutions
  • De-escalate client concerns, utilizing peace-making skills to balance client needs with business options
  • Think critically and outside the box, providing innovative solutions to client issues in a first-contact resolution approach
  • Multitask with ease, navigating multiple programs, tabs, tools, and screens to quickly answer client questions
  • Raise fundamental questions and identify areas for improvement, sharing trends and insights with leadership to drive continuous growth and development

Essential and Preferred Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a strong and diverse skillset, including:

  • A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues alike
  • Proficiency in working with Windows Operating Systems or equivalent
  • Ability to design your computer to a modem with a minimum internet speed of 25Mbps (download) and 5Mbps (upload)
  • A private and dedicated workspace, free from distractions and noise
  • Availability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends
  • Ability to pass a candidate assessment and complete a comprehensive training program

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Previous experience in customer support or a related field
  • Knowledge of e-commerce platforms and customer relationship management (CRM) software
  • Experience working in a remote or virtual environment
  • Strong technical skills, with the ability to navigate multiple systems and tools
