About the Role

We're looking for a highly motivated and experienced Senior Financial Accountant to support our Bookkeeping team in executing US GAAP and legal accounting and reporting for our European entities. Key Responsibilities

• Ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures, internal and external audit requirements, and local laws and regulations
• Supporting the strengthening of financial processes and controls
• Preparing monthly reconciliations for US GAAP and legal financial reporting
• Providing accounting and financial analysis to senior management and other stakeholders as needed
• Identifying and analyzing material profit and loss accounts
• Driving continuous improvement across functional areas
• Participating in local, regional, and global projects as required
• Staying up-to-date with regulatory changes in all jurisdictions where Wayfair operates

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll need to have:

• Experience in international accounting and reporting requirements, including US GAAP
• A thorough understanding of financial control requirements, such as SOX 404 requirements
• Strong interpersonal skills and a proven ability to work and influence stakeholders
• Excellent documentation and communication skills, with fluency in English (written and verbal)
• Ability to work with tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities
• Proven ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Comfortable managing and analyzing large volumes of data

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in the industry as a Senior Financial Accountant or in Big 4 audit
