Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Performing in-depth analysis of complex applications within the Consumer Banking space to identify areas for improvement and opportunities for innovation
  • Designing and implementing solutions that leverage Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles, including observability, automation, and cloud engineering, to improve the reliability and efficiency of our customer account servicing platform
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product, and operations, to ensure seamless integration of new solutions and features
  • Providing technical leadership and guidance to junior engineers, including mentoring, coaching, and knowledge sharing to help them grow in their careers
  • Participating in on-call rotations to ensure timely resolution of production issues and minimize downtime
  • Staying up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in software engineering, and applying this knowledge to improve our customer account servicing platform

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • 7+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on designing, developing, and implementing complex applications
  • Deep understanding of the technology stack, including operating systems, middleware, and cloud-based technologies
  • Experience with SRE principles, including observability, automation, and cloud engineering
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop creative solutions
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:

  • Experience with hands-on development of dashboards and data visualization tools
  • Experience with log analysis and troubleshooting in Unix, Linux, and cloud-based environments
  • Experience with mentorship, including training, documenting, and certifying junior engineers
  • Strong understanding of emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in software engineering
  • Experience with leading proof of concepts and prototyping
  • Experience with writing and presenting white papers and presenting at industry conferences
