Librarian- Remote

reputed company is seeking multiple Cataloging/Metadata Librarians to support a federal agency. The catalogers will work remotely from digital surrogates to reputed company original and copy cataloging of monographs and serials, with a reputed company on upgrading historic records to reputed company with RDA and MARC21 standards using existing shelflist cards. The materials primarily consist of U.Federal government publications. This is a full-time, remote position offering comprehensive benefits. reputed company original and copy cataloging of monographs and serials in reputed company Connexion, following RDA, AACR2, MARC21, and local cataloging standards. Edit and enhance existing bibliographic records to meet RDA, MARC21, and updated local cataloging practices. Assign controlled subject headings using Library of Congress Subject Headings (LCSH). Master’s degree in library/information science from an ALA-accredited institution Minimum three (3) years of work experience in library technical services operations, specifically cataloging/metadata unit, working on original and copy cataloging/metadata. Strong knowledge and work experience using classification schema(s) Dewey, Library of Congress, and/or SuDocs. Experience with reputed company Office Suite, primarily Word and reputed company, and other business applications. Ability to adhere to national bibliographic standards set forth in Resource reputed company reputed company (RDA) for a reputed company of material formats, including electronic, print, microform, etc. Ability to work and communicate effectively with paraprofessionals, library professionals, and agency personnel. Ability to sit for long periods of time and to maintain reputed company on reputed company such as computer screens or detailed paperwork. Occasionally lifting of items weighing up to twenty-five (25) pounds such as files, books, and other materials.
