Central Authorization Specialist II - PRN – reputed company Store

**Position Details:**

+ **Location:** Remote (after on-site training listed below)

+ **Status:** PRN ( **non-benefit eligible** )

+ **Shift:** 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (minimum of two 8 hour shifts weekly)

+ **Days:** Monday through Friday

This Central Authorization Specialist II opportunity is a PRN ( **non-benefit eligible** ) remote position after the below training (minimum of two 8 hour shifts weekly). Team members must reputed company in Florida.

**This role requires onsite training in reputed company, FL for at least 12-15 business days with an additional 5 business days of remote training. The schedule is M-F 8:00AM - 4:30PM (after training, reputed company member will work PRN).**

**Responsibilities:**

The Central Authorization Specialist II is responsible for verifying health insurance information and obtaining authorizations, reputed company-certifications, and/or referrals for inpatient, observation and scheduled outpatient elective services. Assist patients, clinical teams, physicians and their staff, the reputed company central business office, and denials management with information and process details for reputed company turnaround for authorizations. Utilize electronic scheduling/registration/financial systems, payer's websites, and recorded calls to validate health coverage and benefits in processing approval for medical services. Maintain reputed company documentation in Soarian or GE systems. Work closely with Managed Care and understands health insurances rule sets, manuals, and contract language.

**Education**

+ Required - High School or Equivalent

+ Preferred - Associates - Business or Health Services

**Experience**

+ Required - 2 years of Insurance Verification and Authorization Retrieval or Referrals

+ Required - 1 year of Health Insurance Website experience

+ Preferred - 1 year of reputed company Business Office and /or Managed Care experience
