About the Role

We are currently seeking an experienced and skilled Customer Service Representative to join our team in a remote work capacity. As a Customer Service Representative, you will be the primary customer interface for inquiries, providing exceptional service, and educating our members about our products and services. You will serve as a member advocate, building trust and being the voice of the customer. By utilizing established best practices, attending ongoing training, and leveraging resources and tools, you will navigate our members through the complex world of insurance, providing expert guidance and support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle incoming phone calls and respond to customer inquiries via telephone, written correspondence, fax, web, and/or electronic mail
  • Research customer information utilizing appropriate systems, policies, regulations, procedures, and other reference materials to effectively respond to and resolve customer issues
  • Elevate sensitive customer requests when necessary, ensuring timely and effective resolution
  • Comply with State and Federal regulations and mandates, staying current on policies and procedures to support our customers and ensure compliance
  • Remain current on knowledge of diverse products and proactively recommend items needed by customers to increase customer satisfaction and improve transaction profitability

Requirements and Qualifications

To be considered for this position, you must have a High School Diploma or Equivalent and at least three years of experience in a complaint-type customer service office setting, preferably in the health insurance or related field. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted for this requirement. You must also be available for 9-12 weeks of live virtual training, which will be held Monday to Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm (Central Time Zone).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Basic medical/dental terminology and contract interpretation skills are a plus
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a strong focus on customer satisfaction
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with our members
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to navigate complex systems and resolve customer issues effectively

What We Offer

In return for your skills and experience, we offer a competitive salary of $39,520 annually, plus a comprehensive benefits package, including health benefits effective the 1st of the month following your start date. You will also have the opportunity to work from home, with a dedicated, distraction-free workspace and reliable internet service provider required. Our training program is designed to equip you with the knowledge and skills you need to succeed in this role, and you will have the support of our experienced team every step of the way.

Work Schedule and Training

After completing the initial training program, you must be able to work any 8.5-hour shift between 7:30 am - 6:00 pm (Central Time Zone) Monday to Friday. Our training program is interactive, and you will be required to have a camera and audio capabilities for virtual training purposes.
