Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Retail Store Associate to join our team in Florida, USA. As a Store Associate, you will play a vital role in our retail location, working independently and as part of a team to make a positive impact on the lives of our customers. This is a full-time position, working 8 hours a day, with a competitive salary of $25 per hour.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to succeed in a dynamic, high-impact, customer-centered job, working in a leading retail setting. You will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, working with our pharmacy staff, and supporting store activities, including opening and closing procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide personalized customer service by anticipating customer needs, demonstrating empathy and care in all interactions, and actively identifying and resolving potential service issues.
  • Focus on the customer by providing a warm and friendly greeting, staying in touch, and offering assistance in finding additional items when required.
  • Accurately perform cashier duties – handling cash, checks, and credit card transactions with precision while following company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in merchandise, updating pricing information, and completing inventory management tasks as directed by the senior manager.
  • Support opening and closing store activities, as required.
  • Provide customer service to all departments, including photo and beauty, ensuring departments are fully stocked and operational while staying current with all updated services and tools.
  • Assist pharmacy staff as required, including working regular shifts in the pharmacy as part of opportunities for growth and career development.
  • Embrace and advocate for new CVS services and loyalty programs that support our mission of helping people on their path to better health.

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic math skills and attention to detail.
  • The ability to lift and apply up to 35 lbs of force occasionally, up to 10 lbs of force frequently, and a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects to and from, including above lifting.
  • Visual acuity – having close visual acuity to perform tasks such as viewing a workstation, reading, visual inspection including small parts/details.

Preferred Qualifications

While not essential, the following qualifications are preferred:

  • Prior experience in a retail or customer service setting.
  • Knowledge of CVS services and loyalty programs.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
