Job Overview

As a remote customer service representative with blithequark, you will be responsible for assisting passengers with reservations, inquiries, and various travel-related concerns from the comfort of your own home. This role involves working independently and as part of a team to provide exceptional customer service, resolve issues, and ensure that passengers have a positive experience with blithequark. You will have the opportunity to work with a variety of systems and tools, including those related to payment processing, accounting, and customer relationship management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete data access and balancing functions to ensure accuracy and efficiency in payment processing and accounting
  • Coordinate with contributors, vendors, the Federal Reserve Bank, and other institutions to resolve issues and ensure compliance with regulations
  • Assist other departments with fraud resolution, member inquiries, and accounting standard ledger balancing to ensure seamless operations
  • Work on member cases and projects assigned, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively to meet deadlines
  • Follow and maintain guidelines and procedures to ensure strict compliance with NACHA regulations and guidelines, as well as Federal Banking laws
  • Process loan payments, multi-account and member deposits, credit card payments, and other checks, including IRA, bankruptcy, and payoff checks
  • Review, examine, and approve Remote Deposit, Mobile, ATM, and other imaged-enabled products to ensure accuracy and security
  • Log, report, and make necessary GL, account changes, and/or returns to maintain accurate records and ensure compliance
  • Process Stop Pays and Check Batching to ensure efficient payment processing
  • Complete daily balancing and department closing to ensure accuracy and efficiency
  • Obtain information from members for timely and accurate processing of international and domestic fund transfer requests
  • Research and confirm incoming and outgoing fund transfer information to ensure accuracy and security
  • Communicate with vendors to process fund transfers and ensure compliance with regulations
  • Understand and be familiar with outgoing and incoming fund transfer laws and regulations to ensure compliance

Qualifications and Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a high school diploma or GED, as well as intermediate Excel and Word skills. Previous customer/member service experience, banking or Credit Union experience, and Episys/Symitar and processing wires experience are preferred but not required.

  • Ability to work prolonged hours in support of business needs

  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations and analyze data
  • Ability to effectively prioritize work and meet deadlines under high-volume pressure
  • Ability to cross-train and perform any role assigned within the department
  • Ability to engage professionally with all personnel and members
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
  • Ability to self-motivate with strong organizational skills and attention to detail
