Your primary responsibilities will include:

Key Responsibilities

  • Resolving coordination of benefits inquiries by analyzing patient activity, including enrollment, third-party liability, claims attachments, and providing accurate information to customers.
  • Developing a comprehensive understanding of insurance coverage and effectively communicating this knowledge to customers and dental professionals.
  • Thoroughly documenting all customer interactions, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Educating customers and dental professionals on eligibility, benefits, claims payment, and authorizations, as well as the usage and benefits of self-service tools.
  • Assisting members in gaining access to care by locating a network dentist or assigning them to a primary care dentist.
  • Directing inquiries to necessary departments or individuals when the resolution of the inquiry exceeds the scope of this role.
  • Responding to customer inquiries in a courteous and professional manner, providing accurate information to resolve all member and provider inquiries through verbal and written communications.
  • Researching and resolving internal and external complex customer inquiries, taking ownership of the resolution and setting expectations for follow-up.
  • Ensuring resubmissions, stop payments, and voids are handled appropriately.
  • Meeting or exceeding individual, department, and client-specific goals.
  • Understanding and adhering to all client administrative and contractual policies and procedures.
  • Suggesting ways to improve service delivery processes, contributing to the success of the organization.
**Qualifications** To excel in this role, you will need to possess:

Essential Qualifications

  • A High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a high-volume customer service environment.
  • Experience in the healthcare or related industry is preferred.
  • The ability to multitask using multiple applications simultaneously.
  • The ability to set up computer equipment and troubleshoot issues with minimal assistance.
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills.
  • The ability to operate a computer and knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Cooperative, professional, and effective interaction skills.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to tolerate repetitive work without compromising accuracy and service levels.
  • Willingness to attend additional training as requested or deemed necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Medical or dental terminology knowledge experience.
  • Medicare or Medicaid knowledge.
  • Claims or billing and coding experience.
