Join us and let's get started. Job Description AECOM is seeking a Junior Interior Designer to be based in Kansas City, MO. Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: • Provides technical guidance and assistance to Designers, Technicians, younger staff and interns • Reviews completed work with design and drafting personnel responsible for its completion to ensure accuracy and compliance with codes and design data • Advises the Interior Design team leader about status of assignment(s) with respect to schedule, budgets, delays, and adverse problems • Understands and assists with the planning and scheduling of design tasks associated with assigned project • Assists in interpreting industry codes, permits, and standards, and ensures design and drawing compliance • Understands the role of each of the other disciplines Qualifications Minimum Requirements : Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Interior Design and two (2) years of related interior design project experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience/education Preferred Qualifications: 2-5 years of related interior design project experience Demonstrated success as a project designer on a range of interiors project types Experience with all project phases including pre-design through construction administration and project close-out Experience preferred in sports and hospitality markets Knowledge of contract interiors FF+E market including manufacturers and dealers Experience documenting FF+E specifications including budget Self-starter, leader, manage and mentor multiple project teams Experience with large scale complex interiors projects a plus Detail and process oriented Ability to coordinate design with specialty consultants including MEP, food service, AV, etc. Working knowledge of building codes, ADA, standards and detailing Experience in developing and reviewing construction documents Proficiency in Microsoft Teams, REVIT, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch-up, Enscape , Rhino, Lumion or other 3D modeling software Great communicator with excellent verbal and written skills NCIDQ Certification Additional Information All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
