Lab Processing Tech Associate III ? Evenings

About the position Responsibilities • Perform waived and moderate complex testing with appropriate training and competency. • Conduct sweat chloride collections and EKG's under supervision. • Sort and process routine and specific high-level specimens received by the lab, including multistep technical processing (i.e. Histology, Microbiology, Cytology, etc.). • Ensure correct processing and packaging for esoteric send-out tests. • Coordinate a simultaneous series of tasks accurately, including STAT orders and fluctuation in workload. • Prioritize work to complete within scheduled hours and established turnaround times. • Manage inventory, equipment cleaning, and maintenance. Requirements • High School Diploma or GED. • 2-5 years of lab experience. • Strong communication skills. • Experience in call center and/or phone customer service. • Proficient in various computer systems and comfortable multitasking in a fast-paced setting. Nice-to-haves • Associate's Degree. • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. • Experience as a Clinical or Medical Laboratory Assistant (CLA), MLA, Processing Technician, Laboratory Tech, Lab Assistant, Pre-Analytical Assistant, Lab Support Representative, Specimen Processing, or Customer Service Rep (CSR).
