Pharmacy Technician, Call/Mail Operations

Job Description: • Provides resolution or outreach for resolution on prescriptions that are incomplete, invalid, or contain clinical issues preventing the fulfillment of the request • Decisions based on interpretation of area/department policy and methods for completing assignments • Works within defined parameters to identify work expectations and quality standards, but has some latitude over prioritization/timing, and works under minimal direction • Communicate with physician offices and hospitals via fax or telephone • Responsible for researching and updating clarifications and denials on patient profiles • Responsible for making or taking phones calls to and from providers, patients and/or retail pharmacies • Ability to solve problems and encourage others in collaborative problem solving • Self-directed, but also able to work well in a group • A positive, proactive attitude, energetic, highly motivated and a self-starter • Proficiency using MS Office, navigating multiple systems and platforms and ability to troubleshoot and resolve basic technical difficulties in a remote environment • Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information • Occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required Requirements: • Candidates MUST reside in one of the following states: Ohio, Florida Arizona, Texas • Must have an active Pharmacy Technician License in the state you reside • 1+ years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician in a retail, mail order or hospital pharmacy • Ability to solve problems and encourage others in collaborative problem solving • Self-directed, but also able to work well in a group • A positive, proactive attitude, energetic, highly motivated and a self-starter • Inbound/outbound call experience in any pharmacy setting • Strong communication skills both written and verbal • Great attention to detail • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously • Ability to work accurately and efficiently while performing repetitive tasks • Proficiency using MS Office, navigating multiple systems and platforms and ability to troubleshoot and resolve basic technical difficulties in a remote environment • Must have the flexibility to work Monday through Friday between 8:00am-8:00pm Eastern Time • Schedule: 40 hours per week, or Saturdays 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM Eastern Benefits: • Humana, Inc. and its affiliated subsidiaries offers competitive benefits that support whole-person well-being. • Medical, dental and vision benefits • 401(k) retirement savings plan • Time off (including paid time off, company and personal holidays, volunteer time off, paid parental and caregiver leave) • Short-term and long-term disability • Life insurance • Many other opportunities • Employees who live and work from Home in California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense • Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job Apply tot his job Apply To this Job
