Position Overview

As a Substitute Teacher with Scoot Education, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on teaching experience on your own schedule. We offer the highest pay rates among substitute providers, with up to $190 for day-to-day assignments and more for long-term assignments. Key Responsibilities

• Teach a variety of subjects, including math, science, English, and social studies, to students of different ages and skill levels
• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the needs of your students
• Manage classroom behavior and maintain a positive learning environment
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff to ensure that students receive the support they need
• Be flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to think on your feet and adjust to changing circumstances
• Collaborate with other teachers and school staff to develop and implement school-wide initiatives and programs

Essential Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor's degree, or 60+ college credits
• Three professional references, with at least one from a previous direct supervisor
• NJ Substitute Credential
• Background check and TB risk assessment (we'll cover the cost of this!)
• Full COVID-19 vaccination
• A passion for education and putting students first

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous teaching experience, particularly in a substitute teaching role
