About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Non Executive Director to join our Board, bringing a strong and diverse skillset to drive success and contribute to the strategic growth and sustainability of our organization. Key Responsibilities
As a Non Executive Director, your key responsibilities will include:
- Attending quarterly Board meetings and additional ad-hoc meetings as required, contributing to strategic discussions and decision-making processes
- Participating in a sub-committee from the Board (Development, Policies, or Audit & Risk), providing expertise and guidance to support the organization's growth and development
- Positively representing Care to external bodies, promoting our values and mission, and building strong relationships with stakeholders and partners
- Sharing knowledge and expertise in areas such as adult social care, housing regulation, asset development, and legal, to inform and shape our strategic direction
- Collaborating with other Board members, staff, and stakeholders to drive innovation, improve services, and enhance the overall quality of our supported housing provision
Essential Qualifications and Skills
To be considered for this role, you will need to demonstrate:
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably with Board experience, and a strong understanding of the supported housing sector
- A strong and diverse skillset in relevant areas, such as adult social care, housing regulation, asset development, and legal
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders and partners
- A passion for making a positive difference in the lives of others, and a commitment to our values and mission
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to contribute to strategic discussions and decision-making processes
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
While not essential, the following qualifications and skills would be desirable:
- Experience of working in a similar organization or sector, with a strong understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing supported housing providers
- A professional qualification in a relevant field, such as social care, housing, or law
- Experience of working with stakeholders and partners to drive innovation and improve services
- A strong understanding of governance, risk management, and compliance, with the ability to contribute to the development of our policies and procedures

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits
