Key Responsibilities
Strategic Product Leadership
- Define and evolve the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for a suite of ad formats that align with broader business goals and community values.
- Prioritize initiatives based on market research, user feedback, competitive analysis, and quantitative data to maximize ROI.
- Translate complex business problems into clear, actionable product specifications and user stories that guide cross‑functional execution.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
- Partner closely with engineering leads to scope technical requirements, assess feasibility, and ensure timely delivery of high‑quality features.
- Work hand‑in‑hand with UX designers to create intuitive, accessible, and brand‑consistent ad experiences that delight both advertisers and community members.
- Collaborate with data science and analytics teams to design experiments, measure performance, and iterate based on rigorous statistical insights.
- Align with product marketing and sales enablement teams to craft compelling go‑to‑market narratives, launch plans, and enablement materials.
Execution & Delivery
- Own the full product lifecycle—from ideation and prototype, through beta testing, to global launch and post‑launch optimization.
- Maintain a living product backlog, ensuring that it reflects the latest priorities, stakeholder input, and market dynamics.
- Facilitate agile ceremonies (sprint planning, stand‑ups, retrospectives) to keep the team focused, accountable, and continuously improving.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as fill rate, click‑through rate, viewability, and revenue contribution, reporting insights to senior leadership.
Customer & Market Insight
- Engage directly with advertisers, agency partners, and community members to surface pain points, uncover opportunities, and validate product concepts.
- Synthesize qualitative feedback and quantitative analytics to craft user personas, journey maps, and feature hypotheses.
- Stay abreast of emerging ad tech trends (e.g., shoppable video, AR overlays, contextual targeting) and evaluate their relevance to our roadmap.
Essential Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2+ years of direct product management experience leading consumer‑facing products, preferably within the ad tech, video, or social media domains.
- Technical Acumen: Proficiency in SQL—able to author simple, clean queries from scratch for ad‑hoc analysis and reporting.
- End‑to‑End Delivery: Demonstrated track record of taking product concepts from ideation through launch, iterating based on data and user feedback.
- Multi‑Platform Exposure: Hands‑on experience shipping features for mobile apps, mobile web, and desktop web, ensuring consistency across environments.
- Roadmapping & Specification: Expertise creating clear product roadmaps, detailed specs, and process frameworks that empower cross‑functional collaboration.
- Analytical Rigor: Strong quantitative skills, comfortable designing experiments (A/B testing, multivariate testing) and making data‑driven decisions.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)
- Background in advertising technology, programmatic buying, or demand‑side platforms (DSPs).
- Familiarity with agile product development methodologies and tools such as Jira, Confluence, or Asana.
- Experience working in a globally distributed team with remote or hybrid work models.
- Knowledge of privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and their implications for ad product design.
- Track record of publishing thought leadership (blog posts, conference talks) on product strategy or ad innovation.
Core Skills & Competencies
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to see the big picture while drilling down into the details that matter.
- Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting to executives and external partners.
- Collaboration: Proven ability to influence without authority, building strong relationships across engineering, design, data, and marketing.
- Problem Solving: Comfort tackling ambiguous problems, structuring hypotheses, and delivering actionable solutions.
- Customer Empathy: Deep understanding of both advertiser needs and community member experience, ensuring ads add value rather than friction.
- Adaptability: Thrives in a fast‑changing environment, quickly pivoting priorities based on market shifts or new insights.
